Community Support and Future Funding
B.O.L.D. plans to pursue grant opportunities to expand programs and increase accessibility for children in the community. Many funding opportunities available to not for profit organizations are matching grants, meaning organizations must demonstrate that community funding has already been raised.
Community sponsorship therefore plays a critical role. Support from local businesses helps demonstrate strong community backing and allows B.O.L.D. to unlock additional provincial and national funding opportunities that multiply the impact of each sponsorship dollar.
Founding Community Partners
As B.O.L.D. transitions into a community focused not for profit organization, we are inviting businesses, organizations, and community leaders to become Founding Community Partners.
Founding partners play a unique role in helping establish and expand outdoor learning opportunities for children. These early supporters help build the foundation that allows the program to grow, reach more families, and develop long term sustainability.
Grants look for more than Just Numbers
Grant providers often want to see that organizations are actively trying to raise funds themselves and that they have strong community support behind them.
They look for things like:
-community involvement
-fundraising efforts
-volunteer support
-local partnerships
-public engagement
proof that people believe in the organization and what it stands for

"As B.O.L.D. proudly transitions into a community-focused non-profit organization, we are laying the groundwork for the future of outdoor education. We are deeply grateful to our Founding Community Partners—the visionary businesses, organizations, and leaders who stepped up first.
These early supporters aren't just donating; they are building the very foundation that allows our programs to grow, reach more families, and thrive for generations to come. Thank you for championing the wonders of outdoor learning."
